Chief among the colours proving to be trendy this summer are blue tones such as teal and aqua blue, which are thought to give an outdoor area a warm, inviting feel. Complementing a brown or grey rattan outdoor furniture set with blue or teal cushions will instantly draw the eye to that area of a garden or patio, thereby ensuring both items stand out and are duly appreciated.
It is worth noting that the main inspiration for this, or even European neoclassical furniture, is ancient Greek and Roman designs and influences. The trend began when the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum were discovered in Italy, and a great influence of Roman style furniture began spreading.
I've never met anyone who regrets buying a leather sofa. For all the reasons given, and many more, it is a piece of furniture definitely worth taking a look at if if you are in the market.
You can also go all out with colour and make it fun and trendy with coloured pillows on soft couches and seal it off with flowing curtains. Curtains, though, might not be able to keep the heat off during summers. This brings us to the topic of insulation, something you should be concerned with when designing a garden room. If you live in a place with that can get really cold in the winter and vice versa in the summer, you should have the proper insulation, air conditioner and heater in place. For lighter days, consider getting ceiling fan kits, preferably with lights for dual functionality.
